Antonin Fourneau will present a summary and exhibition of SonoScriptum, the research creation project he has undertaken during his three month stay with us at Colab as the 2017 Te Ataata artist in residence.
Sonoscritpum is a new interactive art work that aims to create a drawing surface where the paintbrush is your voice, or anything that produces sound. LED lights are programmed to be sensitive to sound frequency which is then reflected as color. Through this synesthesia between sound and color, you can discover and play with your own voice and observe the dynamic surface respond to the sound of its surroundings.
Antonin’s project continues his research that investigates ludicity, gamification, interaction and materials. Antonin will give a presentation to share his ideas, designs and development process throughout the residency. He will also exhibit prototypes of SonoScritpum and give people the opportunity to try it out.

Te Ataata Creative Technologies Residency:
The Cultural Office of the French Embassy in New Zealand and Auckland University of Technology launched the residency programme in 2015. It allows for a French creative practitioner to be hosted at Colab in Auckland. The residency enables the development of new initiatives and joint collaborations and allows a French creative professional to come to New Zealand for a period of 3 months.
