Bricolage Disco by Wade Marynowsky

Australian robotics artist Wade Marynowsky’s November 2010 residency at AUT supported by CoLab involved the creation of new work for his exhibition Bricolage Disco at the ST PAUL St Gallery.

Bricolage Disco explored the un-expected or the chance event through the choreography of obsolete technology, sound and light activated by the intervention of robotic technology.  Marynowsky’s work straddles both theatre and ‘live art’ or ‘performative media’, causing technology to perform within a system set up for the work to unfold and evolve. A hybrid media artist, he works across robotic, immersive and interactive installation, performance, music and video.
