Wearable Beacon

Wearable Beacon

Matthew Martin, 2015
Digital t-shirt lights up when in the presence of wireless devices.

Description:
This is the final physical outcome of my thesis for my Masters of Creative Technologies. What at first looks like a standard shirt becomes a beacon of light patterns, flowing from the torso towards the head. This happens when in the proximity of wirelessly transmitting devices. It is made up of over 1000 LEDs with the purpose of informing observers in public about the presence of wearable technology use in society.
